Why I started Femme Fatale
I grew up fascinated by pearls — their quiet complexity, the way they form in silence over years inside a living creature. In early 2025, I was triggered by a Chinese drama series — a pearl girl who refused to give up until she built her empire in the jewelry world. That story taught me something I didn't expect: that knowledge, persistence, and going directly to the source could change everything.
April 2025 · Guangzhou & Bangkok
I started flying everywhere. First to Guangzhou in mid-April 2025 — my first real encounter with the pearl world. Then back to Bangkok, where I walked into the Jewelry & Gem Fair and sat down at the Nagahori booth. That's where I met Mark and Mace — the most supportive partners I could have found. I sat there for almost an hour, asking every question I had. They let me touch pearls I had never touched before — Akoya. That was the first time I truly understood that different types of pearls existed, and why some were so much more valuable than others. I didn't know much yet. But I knew I was in love. Before I left that booth, I looked at them and said: "I'm going to build a pearl business — and I'm going to do it with you."
June 2025 · Zhuji, China
I kept searching — until I discovered there was an entire city dedicated to pearls. Zhuji. Pearl Town. The origin of over 70% of the world's freshwater pearls. I flew there myself. In Zhuji I met Tracy — my best supplier, my most supportive partner, and the person who made everything real. She brought me to the pearl farms and took me through my very first clam opening. That moment I held an open clam and found a baroque-shaped pearl inside — I was completely overcome. I asked them to drill it on the spot. I made my very first piece of jewelry with my own hands. I turned to Tracy and said: "I'm going to do this when I get back to Bangkok. I'm starting the business. I'm doing the clam opening workshop." And I meant every word. The morning after I returned to Bangkok, I immediately started building the brand.
July 2025 · GIA Certification
I earned my GIA Graduate Pearls certification With Honors. I rarely slept during that period — I completed a 3-month course in just 5 days. The moment I passed, I called Tracy and Mark to tell them: "I have my GIA Pearl certification now. I'm qualified. Let's do this." That call made everything official.
August 2025 · Phuket, Thailand
Before holding my very first workshop with real customers, I wanted to see the Thai pearl world with my own eyes. I travelled to Phuket to visit pearl farming operations in the south of Thailand — understanding the full picture, from living oyster to finished piece. Every step of the supply chain, witnessed firsthand.
September 2025 · First Workshop & The Beginning
I launched the Birth of Pearl workshop — where customers open their own clams and discover their own pearl. Real customers. Real oysters. Real pearls. That was the beginning of a brand that gradually began to bloom.
April 2026 · Grand Opening
What started as a fun activity with friends became 500+ workshop customers in 6 months, 1,500+ pieces of jewelry sold, and tonight — a Grand Opening with my name on the door. I'm so happy I could cry. Actually, I did. 😭
The philosophy that drives everything
Most pearl retailers buy from distributors who buy from aggregators who buy from farms. By the time a pearl reaches a display case, it has passed through 3–4 sets of hands — each adding margin, each removing transparency. I removed every layer between the farm and you.
"Pearls are formed in silence, over years. They deserve to be understood — not just worn."
Eimjung (MG) · อิ่มจัง · Founder, Femme Fatale Pearl Bar
Every pearl I select is graded against all 7 GIA factors: nacre quality, luster, surface, shape, color, size, and matching. Only the top 5–8% of any harvest becomes an FFM piece. The rest goes back.
This is not a brand built on aesthetics alone. It is built on knowledge, on sourcing relationships earned through years of travel, and on the belief that every woman who wears a pearl deserves to know its full story.
First — thank you to myself for never giving up. 🤍

The people who made this real
✦ Tracy — China partner · Day one
May 2025. I flew solo to Zhuji — Pearl Town, China — knowing nothing. She walked me through pearl farms, clam openings, every question I had. The moment I held that open clam — I knew. I told her right then: when I get back to Bangkok, I'm starting this business.
✦ Mark & Mace from Nagahori Japan · HK — the spark of everything
April 2025. Bangkok Jewelry Fair. I sat at their booth for almost an hour asking everything. First time I ever touched an Akoya pearl. I looked at them and said — I'm going to do business with you. Two months later — GIA certified. First Birth of Pearl workshop. A dream becoming real.
GIA Graduate Pearls · With Honors
Graded on all 7 factors
The GIA Graduate Pearls certification With Honors is the most rigorous qualification in the pearl industry. It covers the complete framework for evaluating pearl quality — the same system used by the world's leading auction houses and jewelers.
Every FFM pearl is assessed against all seven criteria before it is set into jewelry or offered for sale. This is the standard we hold ourselves to — and the standard you deserve.
Exclusive Partnership
Nagahori Heart Japan
Through our exclusive partnership with Nagahori Corporation — established in Tokyo in 1962 and one of Japan's most respected pearl houses — Femme Fatale holds Thailand's sole distribution rights for the world's only heart-shaped South Sea Golden pearl.
The heart shape forms naturally inside the oyster through Nagahori's proprietary nucleation technique. It is not carved, not altered. Each one is unique — and no other retailer in Thailand carries it.
